Sylph Skill Books post-patch

Anyone confirmed whether the skill books are in fact useless post-patch? Still have a few lying around in guild vault, and would hate to spend the balens to learn a skill if I can in fact still consume a book to learn a skill before spending the balens.

The skills books aren't useless, you can still use them.
