We have been told these will be removed at next maintenance, I don't see a maintenance notice, so I do hope they do it before this event expires.

but realy they should of been removed when patch was added as servers were offline 4-6 hrs for you to do this anyway so why wasnt it done then

That's a great question. However, I am sure it was an oversight on the developer's part, and it should be corrected at the next maintenance.
