  • Why is it that R2 and Kabam Staff dont listen to the Community

I have been wondering why that R2 and Kabam Staff dont listen to the community about what type of mini games and what kind of event that they want

It seems that the only thing your developers is thinking lets get them a new patch and make it full of flaws insted of using the test servers u have?

Ive been chocked about the upcomming new mini game Game Box (no official confirmation) why it is u wonna nerf the best part of the game?

Why not make the mini games community based? Make it choice based so u ask the commuity what type of mini games they want and let the developers put in what they think the community want and make an extra choice where the community can type in them self what sort of mini game they want.

That way all the mini games would be what the people want and not what u think we want.

The same goes for events why not ask people what they want ?

    'Cause it's R2 and Wartune.
And a word of advice. Do not use a gossip sites as a source of info. Even if they share and know 10 times more than official sources

What was explicitly written in other thread by one of the moderators - R2Games does not have the product management function = they can resell only what 7road developers provide to them

So they maybe listen, but nobody listen to them at 7road

r2g supposedly has its product localization & customization team, who can negotiate deals with 7road to change patches. they probably just don't want to deal with anything that's not major, and don't want to spam development too much (who are probably firefighting all the time for the poorly-written & rapidly-changing product that they have to deal with).

Personally, I think it's a load of bull. I've only met one developer that isn't from China (Germany to be specific), and they listen to the players day in and day out to provide a game people can play and enjoy at the same time. For a year, they managed to grab several awards. It's been a while since I had played that game for I was busy in real life most of the time.

Day in and day out, we, the players/members, have been throwing in our feedback and come forth with many suggestions, and yet what we get in return is a game that is broken to high heaven. Someone told me of this rumor, and I will keep it as such until there is confirmation, but hey, it's R2/7Road, so stuff bound to happen to keep those frowns going down. They've already skimped on the gem event by making it limited instead of unlimited WHICH WE PLAYERS HAD ENJOYED BEFORE!!! The latest Cloud Adventures are a joke when you get 1/2/3 rolls (sometimes a 4) that you had to buy magic dice to keep going in the end. And before someone says it's my luck, I will say this: those who "rigged" things on a casino level to make the gambler lose a lot often would be ones that get shot right on the spot (Wild West). Basically, if you are going to have sucky rolls programmed with the intent that people have no choice but to buy their way out, then it's going to be one event that will be sitting there for days to come.
          Vicious! Approach with Caution!

Maybe we have different understanding of the product management:
            - l11n and i18n teams customize only, not doing product management per se
            - the one who can say what items drop in each MPD, what is sellable on each market, if bazaar is available or not is the one who decides product
==> if it is 7road, then R2Games is a reseller, so management is reduced to price list negotiation, bug negotiation, feature proposal and l11n (I see different English translation in other English clone).

I understand negotiation, even between two Chinese companies, but who decides about our clone content is product manager, not the one who is selling, supporting end users, testing and doing l11n and such admin customisation only.

I think they want to remove mini games totally, so they will nerf it till we left them out. Like we are leaving Wilds after Wild shop merged (in China Wilds already removed), TH ...

I've worked with several mobile and crapMMO developers and publishers in the UK and US. They're all more or less the exact same. People need to realize it "isnt their job" to fix bugs, its their job to make you spend more for workarounds they can provide you.

For all the **** they get, DeNA, who handle a lot of squeenix's licensed products (among other things) is rather exemplary in how quickly they address QOL issues and communicate with their userbase. Some of this is due to applying the same standards they are held to in Japan to all their global releases, where there is no such thing in the Chinese or Korean markets.

I think that R2's support should first to realize we paid their salaries.

Then maybe more than one of those 6 people will realize:
                - incident needs workaround and not endless waiting for full-blown fix,
                - many players reporting the same issue are not cupcakes, but they report something serious
                - the language to speak with players is English, not Chinese translated by computer translator who can translate idioms only literally
                - that player affected by bugs sees new promotion as corrida bull
                - that registration mail is a must, list of tickets dtto, SLA is not taboo word ...

i don't see any difference between this & what i just said. r2 is a licensee/publisher of wartune. r2 can negotiate deals & has say in what features/changes they want, & can change the configurations directly (including text replacement if the in-game texts are configurable), but modifying the core product features is on 7road. not in the tech industry, and not knowing wartune in particular (and not a chinese reader), but this licensing relationship is pretty standard. r2 does have say in our patches; they just have to settle a deal for that to happen, implying that changes we propose need to have some significance for them to get through r2 first, and then for r2 to get them through the decision makers (PMs) in 7road.

It is total bull **** to say that R2 has no say. When the SAME GAME is published by another publisher, it has features that R2 claims that the devs refuse to put in. How can that be? If one has it and another doesn't, it is obvious that one publisher wants it and the other doesn't. It has nothing to do with the devs.

It is R2 that is blocking the features, NOT 7Road.

R2 is lying through their teeth. It is as simple as that.

You described reseller/licensee behaviour, not game publisher one.

well...either the writer wasn't clear or the reader didn't read the writing correctly (or both), i do not see any discrepancy in here. the publisher can demand a custom build, which is basically a variation of the the same product that all publishers use. the reason why a publisher may not modify the core product by themselves is not about authority or technical competence but about the support contract between the two entities. no knowledge about these 2 companies or wartune in particular, but that's what it is in general.

Seems you are not in the industry, still you describe the reseller.

                          Lets put it clearly:
                          1) Decision about auction house is R2's or 7road's?

If R2's then they are publisher, and they lied to their moderators

                          2) Decision about new Sylph Arena format, is R2's or 7road's?

If R2's, they are value-added/customising reseller, if not the auction house decision is theirs

                          3) Decision about 60,000 balens cost of fused sylphs, is R2's or 7road's?

If R2's, they are reseller, if not the auction house and new sylph arena is theirs

Neither. The english version is published as a partnership between R2 and ProC. It was ProC's decision to not have the auction house in the this version of Wartune.
