slyph red gear

whos bright idea was it for it not to say or written on the gear of before you synth it that the slyph has to be red

Orange gear needs orange sylph, purple needs purple sylph, so yes, red needs red sylph. There should be a warning, but it really isn't a hard thing to test + it's been mentioned on the forums a couple times now.

One of the mods even has a thread posted up about this same exact topic. You can locate and view that thread right here. I know that is not being made clearer is a bother and hopefully they will also consider adding a warning or an update to the equipment for sylphs in the future to make it even more known and apparent.
