Merge slyphs

i saw a vid showing a player using bound balens to merge slyphs

wen me and friends try it doesnt show box saying use bound balens first

I would be extremely surprised if you can merge without real balens already, but it's believable that you could use bbs to complete missing materials. So that may be all the video is showing. I can't test it myself because I don't have the right combo of sylphs who are not in expedition right now, but maybe if I remember I'll check tomorrow.

Seems you need 60k real balens for them to "offer" the use of bound balens, if you don't have real balens it'll just say "inadequate balens recharge blah blah blah...". If the bound portion even works after you have the real balens who knows, either way for a free player it's still not possible.
