I can understand your frustration, keep in mind though that events evolve and change over time. They may even go back to what they were some other time.

Let's be glad the sepulcrum and mahra events are still going well.

There are a lot of ways to get things besides events, Archeology gives up some pretty good items, easily and has the potential to give items that were certainly only available in the balen shop.
