It's a System message, so it cannot be hidden by clicking a different chat tab.

And...

Cross-Server MPD invites do not work at all! NOBODY CAN ENTER THE ROOM, FROM THE ORIGINATING SERVER OR ANYWHERE ELSE!!!

And on top of that, the actual mpd invites do not work. No one is able to click the invite.
