They essentially can't. There are a number of different workarounds and solutions people have come up with.

they can re do it, they re did it after the first merger I went through, had been getting 3 hits, then I was getting at least 6+ afterwards easy without balens

all they have to do is up wb defense stats.. I am happy with it currently unless there is event to attack 3 times, then it takes 2 days to complete if the cashers show up

I don't think anyone would go for that really.

Spend 10-20 minutes fighting the boss to receive the same amount of gold you would normally in 2-3 minutes. They could also increase the damage:gold ratio though, that could be a fix. People have also suggested some kind of healing mechanism.

But yes, several workarounds.
