Its not their fault, it's R2's. Its basically no competition fighting them, so they'll auto win Chaos War, Cross Server Guild Battle, and possibly Titan War.
They have enough whales to even win Class Wars clean sweep.

The purposes is to promote competition, but in fairness the odds are stacked against you thanks to R2.
The gap is too large for any other guild to go out and spend, you need two guilds worth to match them.

Why would even bother participating in an event just to get reamed. This was a bad design by R2.

top players tend to be either allies or enemies.
Kabam S47 has enough strong players to get the top spot in CSGB.
forming a super guild is a natural tendency for them.

I agree the massive merge has made game life harder for everyone, including the top players themselves.
small players, needless to say, would have to suffer for every wave of merge, and are always a negligible majority for R2. since R2 is discouraging them to stay active and grow, many gladly leave the game, and many just relax and find other ways to enjoy the game than ranking, which turns out to save many of them from anxiety.
whales also have to suffer. they have to face more competitions and work much harder to keep up, and ranking rewards are shrinking for them. that's the reason why they are so stressed with rewards and would work so hard for small rewards such as CSGB (the CSGB shop is really outdated). while I don't like their arrogance and greed, I pity those people, for the frustration they have suffered through and the tiny return of their time and money spent in this ridiculous game.
some top players have to be bumped out of the whale circle and become "small and negligible", because they would no longer qualify for Chaos War or Class War finals. many of them have spent considerable cash and time in this game, yet still can't avoid the fate of becoming a shrimp at the end, which is quite depressing.
in all, if we look back, it might just be wise to relax and play the game for pure fun.

Anyhow the game has given many hints that inside-server battles are no longer interesting and inter-server is where they seem to be going, so might as well join up into that big guild that you have there.
