Greens are positive (beneficial) buffs, and reds are debuffs.

They are there, so it's easier to tell if your party needs a puri, or if you need to scattershot/purge enemy buffs. Simply for convenience.

In your screenshot for example, after your archer eudaemon finished using incendiary shot, 3-4 enemies would have 1 skull by their name. (Since incendiary spreads to adjacent enemies applying a damage reduce debuff)
