A question regarding delphics on sylphs

Why is it in a fight when we are both sylphed my delphic hits my opponents eudamon and his hits me? I am not talking a one time occurrence here. I tracked the last 87 fights this situation occurred and only 3 times this did not happen.

are you using the same type sylph? if not what are you using and what is your opponent using? some skills target back row targets other prioritize player. Will need a little more info to make an educated guess.
