How we use this from summon Boss wild :

-[Willpower Resistance Essence]
-[Willpower RES Reduction Essence]
-[Willpower Warpath Crystal]

Those items are used on the new willpower eudaemons aka merged eudaemons.

I killed a boss and just got regular eud stuff. Guess it wasn't high enough level.

Need to have the warpath ; resistance , and the reduction resistance level maxed to level 40 on the merged eudamon before you are able to use those.
Only level 3 and up give those out R262181389
