I have been pondering what to do about my level 60 astral.

I have been playing with illusion recently, but it's proc rate is awful.

I shall play with deflection now...

I tried Illusion in my 2nd class wars, it process once in all my prelims, it was binned quick

Deflect has a decent proc rate and in PvP when timer buff adds it deflects more damage than you take ^^

and it proc a lot in lych too

Edit: Good if u get stunned a lot too, cos at least u still deal dmg

Aren't you going to use MDEF?

Really? cos my lv 6 Illusion proc 3 times in finals right before the time ends and saved me from thunderer a lot...

And deflection can reflect part of that thunder right back, while you quickly heal up with rune. But both are a huge gamble, 10-20% isn't nearly enough if you're aiming high.

I had a play with a lvl 6 a few days ago. 2 procs in ~100 attacks taken =/= 12%. I'm not sold yet...

Aren't you going to use MDEF?

It's nice for 1/3rd of the population. If I really need the MDEF, I have it on the side ready. I'd rather take something less specialised - like I did with my block.

Gotta ask, since a lot have gone for crit during CW now, if your deflections procs on a crit hit, does that mean they get hit for higher damage as well? and also, is guardian angel worth taking into CW?

Since its % of damage actually taken, then yes, crit would mean more reflect.

I'd loved Deflection better if all the people I want to use it one actually lose when they kill me with their Delphies and got it smacked on their faces...

The dude Snipe'ed me for 60k damage and it bounced back for 100k, I still lose... but I did more damage dammit!

Got pumpkin weapon from 4 boxes that I bought with left over balens from last month. LUCKY ME
