Block and Magic

I 've done a quick search and not turned anything up.

So what I would like to know dose block, gems, astals, passive have any effect on incoming magic attacks

Thanks for replys for what might seem a silly question, but in some game I have played block worked only against physical and not magic damage hence the question.

Yes it does, magic is still damage and block can well umm block damage
