  • Math behind skill damage

Hi, i wanted to ask if any1 here could explain me how exactly math on thunderers damage works. How much should i hit if my stats are these (this is at world boss):

    Magic ttack 20k

    Destroyer lvl 5 - 25%

    thunderer lvl 4 295% +215 magic dmg +25%QTE

I need an explanation how does these thunderer stats effect 20k magic attack and how much should i actually hit. a formula would be great.
ATM i do ~36-40k damage with it so plz tell me how these stats make me do this little damage.

    (ATTACK - MDEF OF TARGET) / 2 = DAMAGE

then your doing something wrong, i have 12k patt and do 15k-30k depending on skill used

Basically...your question ends up like this:

                (atk-def)/ 2 = (20000-0)/2 = 10000

                thunderer = 320%+215

                10000*3.2+215 = 32215

                will destroyer 25%

                32215 *1.25 = 40268.5

Thats your avarage damage per thunderer...

then add the random factor of 10% each way, and you have a damage range of around 36-44k...hope this helps

                  rough formula
^ exact formula, there's floating dmg of 10%
and WB has 1 armor, so the /2 still applies but pvp set bonus does nothing.

Seems to be that the skill dmg % is applied after the initial atk-def calc, would assume wd is added on top of that, as it just says it increases the damage...basically ((base)*skill+skill if appliciable)*wd

it's redundant anyways, i was doing the atk-def afterwards and it's 40134 compared to your 40268, just too early to think

just like we could argue endlessly that wb has 0 or 1 armor, i just prefer 1s instead of 0s :P

are you serious with this comment?! the pvp 4th bonus ONLY APPLIES AGAINST PLAYERS

If you do the damage math, damage against wb is consitent with it having 0 armor

                            "(ATTACK - MDEF OF TARGET) / 2 = DAMAGE"

That rough formula is the worse rough formula ever.
Expanding the formula, it translate to Damage = Attack/2 - MDEF of TGT/2
If MDEF is always divided by 2, then it is always subpar to HP, because HP isn't divided by 2.
