For player that wishes to enter multi-player dungeon and not have enough players join but not really strong enough to complete the dungeon with their group it could be nice for them to opt out and select a default player to step in and assist them. They dont have to be super strong but have average attributes to assist with their mission.
Also maybe in arena battles when matching is so outragous people cant find suitable players the default player might come in handy there also.
This is might come into play when players come on late and not alot of others are online, it just would help them feel they could succeed alittle more then getting frustrated and giving up totally.
