Wings Synthesis Question

Hello.. hope someone can help me out before I do anything stupid with my wings :P

I have 2x lvl 2 wing and 1x Good Luck Charm and wanted to make my wings lvl 3 but..

when I put in both wings and the Charm it has Exellent chance but says 1 / 5 charm, meaning I can use 5 charms,

what different does it make if I use 1, 2, 3, 4 or even 5 charms when 1 have exellent chance ?

ok.. tought I could use only 1 aswell, since it says Exellent chant when I only put 1 charm in :/

This is false. 1 charm with 2 pieces of level 2 clothing (whether wings, weapon, armor etc.) will give you an EXCELLENT chance of success. They don't include a % chance with this but I'm fairly certain if it isn't 100% it's very close. You DO NOT need 5 charms. As the clothing level increases you need more than 1 charm to get to EXCELLENT but I got most of my clothing to level 5 with only 1 charm each time after going level 1 to level 2. Don't waste your Balens on 5 charms for level 3 wings.

Idk about anyone else but with my wings, if I didn't have the 5 lucky's it wouldnt let me do it. I'm pretty sure the meaning behind it is - you <will> have a excellent rating with the 5.

wings and clothing are 2 different things, clothes do only require one good luck charm. Wings require 5, yes 5 good luck charms. There are threads posted on the forums to explain clothing/wing synthing and it talks about the good luck charms. Wings require more than regular clothes.

found out now.. lvl 3 wings req 2x lvl 2 wings + 5 charms.. lvl 4 wings req 2x lvl 3 wings + 10 charms.. and I guess it req 5 more charms for each lvl.. costs to much for me to uppgrade them pass lvl 4 .. to bad cos I really wanted to get some special wings

Level 3 -> Level 4 Clothes. Need 2 good luck charms.
Level 3 -> Level 4 Wings. Need 10 good luck charms.

Level 4 -> Level 5 Clothes. Need 4 good luck charms.

(1) Level 2 Wings with (5) Fashion Core will give you "good" chance of success (as opposed to "Excellent").

Here are an estimated probability of success based on the terms:
"Excellent" -- 100%
"Good" -- 50%
"Fair" -- 25%
"Poor" -- 12.5%
"Abysmal" -- 6.25%

You lose your 5 fashion cores if you fail to synthesize.
