I think that if someone is a top pick and heavily favoured to win, they should volunteer to make a post saying that they will not be able to attend. Either that, or wagering should have a window 15 mins before battles begin and you can visibly see who is online at that time, so you're not betting on someone that is offline.

Yes, this is a good idea. Due to R2's decision to lock people's bets once their picks are selected, they lose automatically in a no-show scenario. They should make a requirement that those who are eligible to participate in CW, be online before start. If not, people should be allowed to change their selection to another choice. If no change in choices are made, balens should be returned.

I may also add that those who are no shows get nothing, even if they end up 100th.

Better yet, they should just allow us to place bets after the finals have taken place.
