Clothes and Wing synthesis rewards around the corner

These events all say >= a certain level so let's say I synth a level 5 cloth hat, then I would be able to get the rewards for synth lvl 2,3, and 4 hat am i correct in believing so?

same with armor, weapon and wings right?

nope you need to synt 2 > 3> 4

To synth level 5 cloth you need to synth 2 3 4 first anyway..

Probably not, I don't think anyone's stupid enough to try (why would you ever keep two level 4 clothes?)
