So i have noticed that the tooltip says 80%(after QTE bonus) hp from the dmg dealt, so how come when i crit 20 k i get around 12 k life back and when i hit 8 k i get 4,5 k hp back ?
tried on monster in wild for about 10 times and got heal for about 77-82% damage with lvl 3 BT and instinct lvl 1, which should actually give 85% heal. I wonder if there is a floating heal like floating damage.

yep..gotta be that cant see any other option expect to work same as floating damage astral
you forget about the medal, medal gives you extra damage on players which is not calculated in real damage.
ex:
20000 crit - 20% medal = 16000 real dmg
80% of 16000 = 12 800 hp back

I think its supposed to say "heals UP TO X%", not heals X%. Its totally random, sometimes I'll steal 10k sometimes it will be 3k on similar damage hits

The number which pops up, after all extra damage applied and reductions, is damage done to player/monster. Is it not?
Do you mean if I have 16k HP and 16k number pops up, with medal i would still be alive?
The heal of BL is applied before multipliers so its kind of tricky to get %... you can notice this easy in spire when you use vulc or after 50% mark in duels.. but still seems to have a small randomness to it
