i didn`t hacked anyone ) just updated my OWN (note the own ... from my personal pc .. which i`ve taken myself) pics ... is my fault that he had my links on his site? nope i can do whatever i want on my OWN paid ... site. And second when a guy steals your pics with your links .. it will consume your bandwidth

I guess who posted those pic's didn't know you didn't want anyone else using them or seeing them. Maybe next time don't let the public see them ?

Hmm so what you are saying is you uploaded those pics on your blog and they went on his blog bc he stole those pics? Either way though that was pretty shady thing to do. Even if stealing pics is wrong too you you should have pmd about it. As you said contact the person lol.

I think you didnt understand why hotlinking is unethical. It's Bandwidth thievery and other things.
This incident wouldn't happen if Jackos saved the pictures and uploaded it on his own site. but no, he hotlinked it instead. So it's not symedia's fault if he changes the picture on his own site.

I understand hotlinking is wrong but what sym did is also wrong and childish thing to do. Also why put up porn pics? Not everyone is an adult on here and some people might not want to even look at that stuff. Think of others too before posting nasty stuff on the net. Two wrongs don't make a right. Sym if he wanted to do something like that could have placed something else like troll faces or something. The best option though would to pm the guy and tell him to please don't hotlink it. Both are wrong here for different reasons.

My opinions are:
Both Jackos and Symedia are providing information for the community. They should be appreciated.

Maybe the lack of acknowledgement on his part, but that can be rectified easily with an apology and an acknowledgement.

Both are wrong, i agreed on this part. But like i said before, this incident wouldn't happen if Jackos didn't start it.

Still there are plenty of ways to settle this instead of posting pornagraphic material where everyone can view. What if you were at work, school, your mom came in, or you baby sister? It's wrong and yes jacko shouldn't have hot linked but a simple apology and asking to redo the website could have been suffice. If sym wanted to do something funny he could have hot linked it to troll face or something. Something that isn't that bad. Think of the public here.

Sigh again i only hosted the site for others to post on... I did not upload the pic s. Only thing i did was link the youtube video's.. and the official notes posted on wartune / r2 / kong

I guess, if you wanna host the site, get the others to acknowledge where they get their info from, instead of just taking it, and claiming it for the site. Sorter like a bibliography i think it's called? ( If not, insert correct word )
