    something you should consider , " block " , isnt on every turn...sometimes you do, sometimes you dont....Hp, is always there

      Yes, but a high enough block's HP savings (if the higher block = block procs more) outweighs, I think, the HP given by the HP gems.

      It's a toss-up.

        it is a gamble, which most of us dont like, that extra block from gems doesn;t increase the chances so much, so it might not even proc while hp is safe. In the long run though, if your battles are lasting 2-3 minutes, than it does have enough time to proc, and at -50%-100% damage, block becomes more valuable than hp. So I believe the lenght of the fight shall answer for every knight
