  • NM Lychs Lair

so ive noticed recent questions regarding nm runs in lower dungeons so id thought Id rush ahead and answer this one.

For nm LL you need minimum br of roughly 80-85kbr (this may have lowered somewhat due to sylphs [use mdef ones])

    Optimal team setup
-everyone has pve (knight may be able to skirt this)
-1 healer, 1 super tank (HIGH MDEF), 2 archers )

    basic team strategy:
have tank cast apollo as much as possible, arcehrs should alternate DF and IS to keep it up while mage heals

    bosses

bonus eye : really freaking hard, harder than final boss IMO, mage will need puri

1st boss: really easy patk boss, may occasionally crit kill ur tank

bonus roach: This boss is pretty easy for the rest of the group except for mage, his attacks are random and his debuffs are incurable, mage
should focus on keeping themselves alive while occasionally using bl to save themselves and the groups simultaneously.

2nd boss: (2nd hardest boss) mage will need puri archers will need SS. This boss attack cycle is first it will hit the tank with a heavy hit followed by a brutal aoe that causes a 10k bleed, it will then heal and buff itself.

Bonus Reaper: Mage will need puri and archers might need SS. Its pretty straightforward

Final Boss: this boss's difficulty is very dependent on the group, it has 2 stages. First stage is the first part of its hp bar and the battle goes as most do but there are some rules u need to follow so as not to be destroyed by second stage. First dont cast BL after the first half of the hp bar, you can try and risk it after 2/3s (if u have a low cd), Second dont cast and long CD abilites near the end of the first hp bar, and third try to cast DF before the end of the first hp bar.
After the first hp bar the boss will aoe stun everyone and then give everyone that cool aoe that lets them use infinite rage and no cds. This is the second stage. Its important to DF ASAP when this stage begins because the boss will double if you let her. If you have CDs running before this stage they will not end immediately and you will have to wait them out. This is why you must be careful with BL.

You don't need scatter shot against any of the mini bonus bosses.

You can complete this dungeon in a group of 2 mages, 1 archer, 1 knight. Archer and knight should alternate IS and Apollo. One mage should have Delphic or Thunderer along with BL equippped for last boss.

don't forget to mention that the second stage of last boss is on a timer, so you need to dps asap or else she buffs when timer is done and keels your whole group in one uber-shot.

team setup really doesn't become an issue after you get used to it, and people start getting more pieces of armor sets. we comfortably run with two knights and one archer and one mage consistently. easiest setup of course is two mage/two archer, but that is to be expected. once everyone gets comfortable in the dungeon, and gets their timings down (and BR's up, of course) it isn't so bad.

if using 2mages 1 archer and 1 knight is really hard unless your mage that does thunderer has really good damage on last boss to actually pass before buff appears if knight uses apollo, u will more likely end up dead. knight needs to use no apollo and go with enhanced delphic and delphic

Not agree ... knight can use apollo ... which to replace the time of IS when it is in the first bar ...

yeah sorry i forgot to mention those last 2 bits

final boss has a timer in which if you dont kill her fast enough she will buff up and kill everyone real quick.

as to everyone elses comments, Yes of course you can run it with different group set ups, as with any mpd once everyone is strong enough u can run it with all kinds of setups, heck I solo nm god for shiggles. The point of this thread was to provide the most optimum strategy for the lowest br condition possible.

2 mages is viable however there is a short coming, If they or the team doesnt dps hard enough the group will fail on final boss when her timer runs out and kills everyone. For this reason I'd only suggest this setup to stronger groups who can either compensate for the loss in dps and or have mages that can work it so they can dps effectively(both options would be beyond a new group).

well with the new patch and implementation of pets 2 mage teams are viable to weaker teams aswell. Mages just rotate bl and pet awakening for the extra dmg ( if they dont have thunder / bl setup)

umm, i am just a low lvl weakling that hadn't ever done this mpd but did you forgot about the sylphs?their ulti is quite nice so even knights can do a lot of damage even if they build rage for apollo while now awakened. same applies for spire. With pve set it shouldn't be hard to get 100 rage for apollo ,cast it and then awaken again right ?

a strat i have seen with two mages on last part: one bl's while other awakens(preferably apollo) and then they switch back and forth. it helps make up for mages lower single target damage but it requires good sylphs

Sometimes we do with 2 mages 1 archer 1 tank ... and 1 mages 2 archers 1 tank ... bit hard when did with 2 mages .. but 1 did thunderer for last boss ..

But will be easier for 2nd boss ..
