What are the best ways to get fashion shards or fashion cores?

I upgraded my lvl 1 wings to lvl 2 with free fashion cores, most of them were from the monster scrap event, the rest from the spire

Spire or buy, or just events.

Spire is the only in-game method to obtain Fashion Shard/ Core

Best way is exchanging them during events (but than you don't get either mount, clothing, or specials)

Next is Fashion Event (most times you get around same value of items back (sometimes more))


But if you're a Casher... buy them...

nope , just in spire

BG chest have a chance to give you Socket Rod.

That's what BG chest is mostly for... (and maybe lv.3 gems)
