Arena Balance System

I heard a lot of theories, but no one concrete.
How does it really works?

I'm level 35. and today i went JUST vs. ppl Level 38~41...
It's not fair. I Lost 90% of matches! and my MATK is over 4,3K while normal mages are 2~3K

I am not sure how it works to be honest. But I would love a small break down. Today was the first good day in Arena. By good day I mean I won some.. lost some.. but felt challenged. Yesterday for example was a joke. Fought several teams... repeatedly.... that didnt even get an attack off. Our Mage would start with his Aoe and it would be over.
