Why does the Game Masters and Devs wait til the last second to release Event information? Sometimes they don't even release it until AFTER the events have started.
Prime example:http://forum.r2games.com/showthread....rch-Event-list
Players have the list of events already. Sure there will be some differences, since there is always some hidden events and some quest-type events(like tanks giving event items)
But the point remains, why can't you release event information earlier? That thread was posted days ago, yet nothing has been posted in the Events section of the forum.
Is there a specific reason that you wait until the last second to release the information? It would make people a lot happier, and probably bring you more money if you released the event information a week ahead. People may not have the money when the event comes out, and then they release the information on it. but if the information is released a week ahead, that's time to get paid, and time to set aside some money to spend if you want to.
And with the double dungeon experience, it will help people plan out their key runs better. The double dungeon experience starts the first day of the event unless they change it to a different time. a weeks notice would give people the chance to set up a team and times for a key run effectively. Where as giving them less than a days notice, most of the people they may do key runs with they might not be able to get a hold of in time.
My suggestion is to release the next events a few days ahead at least. That way, any typos/errors in the events can be pointed out and fixed BEFORE the event happens so there's no unhappy players, like what happened with the recharge event that had 10,000 whip typo on it.
Good side of this suggestion:
People know what is coming BEFORE it comes instead of AFTER it's already started.
People can set aside money to spend.
People can set up groups for the Double Dungeon experience.
The events will be more organized.
Game Masters and Devs won't have to rush at the last second to release all the information.
Typos and Errors in descriptions can be fixed BEFORE the events ever launch.
Bad Side of this suggestion:
Nothing that i can think of.
