  • Verbal Threat, Language

Well I looked till I could not see any more but I did not see any Rules on Language or Verbal Threats. I know foul and vulgar language is part of all mmorpgs, and trust me I have seen far worse. I noticed the other day one player getting verbal threats of **** and gang-bang. Is this to far? I have seen Religious profanity as well. So what do you fellow players think? Where do we drawl the line? How many people have to blacklist these people or report them before something is done. Would really like to know you thoughts. Thanks

    See the ToS:
You agree to not use an account name, post on our website, in the chat facility, or on our game materials that are libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, threatening, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive, illegal, or otherwise objectionable, or that would constitute or encourage a criminal offense, violate the rights of any person, or otherwise violate any law or give rise to liability. You also agree not to use our message board for posting numerous identical messages or by creating "party boards" on them. Moreover, you hereby represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights in and to all Postings you provide and all information they contain. You must not use the chat facility to harass, threaten, scam or deceive other players. You agree not to solicit other users to join or become members of any commercial online service or other organization or group (profit, non-profit, religious, social, political, or otherwise).
    And:

    Chat

Rules Related to "Chat" and Interaction With Other Users. Communicating in-game with other Users and R2Games representatives by text or any other method, is an integral part of the Game and the Service and is referred to here as "Chat." When engaging in Chat, you may not:
    1) Transmit or post any content or language which, in the sole and absolute discretion of R2games, is deemed to be offensive, including without limitation content or language that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful, sexually explicit, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable, nor may you use a misspelling or an alternative spelling to circumvent the content and language restrictions listed above.
So it is there. If you see anything that crosses the line, and what you described is imo definitely crossing a line, I suggest screenshot it and file a ticket.
"The trolls of the Ramtops call her Aaoograha hoa ("She Who Must Be Avoided")
and the dwarf name for her, K'ez'rek d'b'duz, translates to "Go Around the Other Side of the Mountain."

On holiday. Please refer any issues to

Good luck with that. No one cares about ToS anymore since R2 never enforced it anymore.

The answer to that is subjective. If you're offended by what you see (especially if directed at you), take a screen shot and file a ticket. It might take some time to get a reply, but if you post your ticket number in the support forum, the mods here can push your ticket along.

I've seen this type of thing a lot on my server and unfortunately not much usually gets done about it. I've seen a couple people forced to change their name or get a 24-hour world chat mute or even a couple illogical forum bans, but I don't believe anyone on my server has gotten the ban-hammer for language.

Well here you go. It's usually the same person or group of people and it continues. So R2 your turn!
