Does the higher critical stat deals higher damage, like in critical=200 / critical=400, does the latter deals more damage than the first or just more likely to land a critical hit.

it does both more chances at landing and if landed the critical hit damage is increased

after tested 1k crit and 10 crit . both does same damage when u crit.

Crit stat increases critical rate so yes, you get critical hits more often but like onimad said it doesn't affect crit damage. You need an astral that increases 'crit base damage' if you want to increase your crit damage. Or the one that adds to your floating damage (damage min&max) but that will also respectively affect your crit damage range as well.
