Getting the amount of mahra to make a purple sylph as a free player is impossimple, and i know that because i was getting mahra and mahra only from every event out so far and still my gaia is 5 star blue and long way from being purple. And this has nothing to do with how "good" you are, its just a thing you cant get in any other way but spending.

I tried non casher the very first time I played this game.

To me it seem very slow and need many work hours. I was on work leave and even that it wasn't many hours a day where someone can stay on that long. Unless you can focus that long. Ey some people can do Ciruit quest so who knows.

But to wait for all those upgrades... seem time cosuming

More blue sylphs. A mount strength that far exceeds all the free mounts. Sylph skills and extra slots. Sylph with 3000 sep....enough seps to overflow it. (1500 mahra and 3000 sep!! all free in 8 months?....get real) High level wings.

by my count there's +350 mounts available for free, not including additional mounts that could have gotten for free from glory shop if made top 100 CW. +5 starting stat, and +80 from 13 lvls of int being whipped puts him right @ +435. the sepulcrum enchants definitely possible for free too, especially if 100% of his sepulcrums earned from start are used on his gaia.
