can we fix the censor bars plz i typed admin into a guild chat and it was censored stuff like that and awwww is censored lol no clue why but it is lol my server just wants to know why that stuff is censored but some bad words are not

i'm fully agree. i can't write perse (in italian mean lost) and many words. and is absurd that we can't talk how we want. censure or not, we write anyway for be understood also with similar writes. censures are completly useless and very very very annoying

What is by far the worst censorship is when you want to say something like analysis or screwdriver, but cant because it comes out as ****ysis or *****driver . Or other words that are perfectly fine, but because they contain a string of letters corresponding to a censored word, that string is censored without contents. To me it seems like the weakest censor algorithm is used in the game.

Yes censorship is understandable to a point. However, in the example i gave, it is not understandable why it should be censored. There is more to language than just string of letters= censor those letters. when something as simple as saying analysis is censored to unreadable because it has the string of letters "a-n-a-l" that is in my view an example of poor censorship programing. It doesn't take into context that it is in the middle of a word that doesn't need to be censored.

That is not hid in the heavens. What we are talking about is they let us say words that are perfectly right but is censored part of it content cuz has some word that is included in the censoring system, yet tou can still say bad words by adding a dot between the letters, you can see it a lot on chats, but if you type some word like "cumplir" acomplish in spanish or screwdriver like the other guy said as an example you get censored and is shown like ***plir or *****driver, losing the meaning of the word, so you got to retype with the dot in the middle, in this way, c.um.plir s.cre.wdriver to do not be censored inecesarely.

Yes, I agree with the censor thing. Alright, swearing and words related to sexual subjects yes, I agree to fail to understand why 'Awww' is censored. Why on earth is the word 'GM' censored. And why is the word 'Overpopulated' censored?! If anyone has a sensible answer, I'd seriously love to hear it!

Awww : is censored to prevent the posting of web links in chat. It's the 3 'w's in a row that is censored. Weblinks used to work and some people were posting various grades of filth in link form in chat.
GM : is censored to prevent people using it as part of a player name.
Overpopulated : is censored because part of it is a rude word in a non English language.

That does make sense to me now. The only one that surprises me is overpopulated, but if it's a rude word in the non English language, I guess there isn't much you can do.

Hmmm, interesting and tell me what bad you see in "grapes"?! This is just a lil example! Censura system is rly useless and annoying! If we want to pass censura system we can do it so easly! Just add one more keyboard (try with some cyrillic - bulgarian or russian) and you can replace letters as a, o, e, p, c, x, k, y, H, M and T and basically you can write any word w/o censura! So whats the point of censura? If i want to curse i will and censura cant stop me. And i am doing it all the time by the way. - Using bulgarian keyboard and replacing letters and pass the censura.

Here will give a lil example w/o mean to offence anyone:

And here again is part of what i fail to understand about this silly logic behind the censorship programing. Just because PART of overpopulated is a rude word in a different language DOES NOT mean that the string of letters that make that rude word should be censored. Perhaps someone can fill me in on why the censorship programing only censors strings of letters that are deemed offensive/rude instead of doing it the right way and taking the whole word into context. Instead of having a program that censors the string of letters "a-n-a-l" or any other offensive or rude word in any language, why cant it take into account having a space before the first letter in the string, and a space after the last letter in the string. This would by far solve many of the annoyances. For example, instead of analysis being censored and turn out a ****ysis in the current system. Under the system of having a space before first letter of string and space after last letter of string it would turn out as analysis. Same with cumplir. Instead of it turning out as ***plir because of the string of letters "c-u-m" it would turn out as cumplir because the "m" didnt have a space after it, which means the string of letters wouldn't be censored under my proposed idea.

As for the GM in a name. What if someone wanted to have their name be "FlyingMan". This current program means they cant have that name because gm are next to each other.

I'll reiterate, any censorship program that only censors strings of letters without any consideration as to their context is by far the weakest and most annoying form of censorship.
