I believe it would be stupid if it disallowed using Rage Rune only on max skill level.
I would definitely go for that skill if it comes in the way as it's described here.
Also Esoteric Ragefire tornadoes looks really nicely.
Magic Shield might come in handy in some situations, especially when combined with Guardian Rune.

The Age of Knights is upon us.

PS: I really do hope they'll make CW separate for level 80s vs 79 and below, cause only 80s can have advance skills

It's the reason why Chinese added a 80s only Battleground.

I see your point, AniChaos. But since it's meant for level 80s, where are we going to get the skill points?

I haven't really checked, but I do know Advance Skills can only be unlocked at level 80, you can't unlock it at 79 (basing on the videos and blogs)

Knight is winner for adv skill, why knights doing bad in PvE events just because we don't have any speed reduction skill

Admitedly, the knight's skills (for exception of the slow) do look fairly crappy. However the esoteric for knights gives them a new mid range strength AoE which brings knights up too the AoE capability of archers (arguably surpassing them slightly), and knights, as it stands, already have the best single target damage of any of the classes, so these skills are definitely an upgrade overall to knights. (Although will force knights to focus AoE or single target when making their skillbars)

Archer's are the worst though. UNLESS Curse arrow works exactly how it is written: "Damages enemy by 128% of all physical damage +1250[QTE: Damage increased by 15%]." This would make an attack that, if it ignored enemy defenses, and did damage directly based upon 128% of the archers patk, would be quite good (too good honestly). So i would have to assume that it still takes into account the enemies defenses, in which it would do very little damage, and be worthless. The archer esoteric: "consume all rage, Damaging one random enemy by 340% +1450 points of physical damage, rage the more the damage inflicted [QTE: damage cap raised to 15%]" could be alright assuming the increased damage done due to the amount of rage used (assume 100 rage) is not bound by the 15% cap that is stated with the qte. If it is, than this attack is hardly better than the standard delphic sniper ( 320%+505 (+25% qte)), if at all.

Honestly, mages lucked out like none other, even ignoring all their other skills and looking at their esoteric: "Esoteric Ragefire Tornado (Level 5)- 400% +2050 damage to all enemies [QTE: Damage increased by 15%]" This skill does only 5% less than knight's E Delph (currently highest damaging skill in game, excluding sylphs obv.), yet does it to all enemies. There is no way that this skill will not be OP, when a mage could use an E Delph on four enemy players at once. People would argue the 100 rage requirement, but Edelph is 100 rage and theoretically is 1/4 the damage, archers deathstar is even less damage (hard to say as it targets 2-3 with stun), and both cost 100 rage. Not to mention the other two esoteric attacks, which both are/should be used at 100 rage, and as the wording stands, neither would be nearly as good as the mage esoteric.

                  Moral of the story......damn mages...

don't get trolled by the descrption, I've chekced it out in chinese server forum

400% +2050 only when there is 1 target & 100 rage, if there are 3 ppl, then dmg divided by 3 , 133%

YES 133%, even lower than RoF lol

that's why I say knight is the winner

If this is the case, then I would certainly retract my statement about mages being the winners, and concede that title to the knights. Would still keep archers as the losers though (imo), especially for the fact that mages could dump 100 rage and take 90k hp away (135k after 1 min of fighting) with the chants skill at L3

I have to say, these skills are translated terribly, and the descriptions make it incredibly difficult to understand what is intended. PLUS there is the fact that these skills would all likely change anyways, so the arguments about them are most likely going to change substantially in the future when they are implemented.

I don't think 90k HP is really a big deal... at least for battles between tops. I have 170k+ HP and I'm just a noob, with the really high BR people 90k HP for 100 rage is probably not worth it, especially if rage rune is disabled.

a normal restore can alr heal 50K+ for a 120K mage, wasting 100 rage just for 90K not worth (and with 60s CD, need to use 1 skill slot which I think you won't sacrifice any of your support skill for this), I can say most of adv active skills are useless

As much as I would like to agree with you, when you look at the damage that all the other mage attacks do, say with two thunderer's, 90k damage total with that 100 rage before the 50% boost is still good. My hp is around 170k+ as well, and that may skew my opinion. Another way to think about it is this way. Say you got into a big fight in BG and are left with half hp, call it 85k hp. You run into a small 100k br mage, thinking no problem, you que up restore to heal. Before you do, this mage who happens to have 100 rage, does 90k damage to you in one hit, solely based on the fact that that mage has 100 rage and 90k hp or more. It is a bit op in that sense.

All base damage skills will be surpassed by percentage skills in the higher BR ranges, but even upwards of 200k BR players, doing 90k damage one hit before 50% boost is still painful. Four 100k mages could kill any 200k player from full hp in one round if they were all L80 with 90k hp and 100 rage, which is not very uncommon to find.

The skill description posted isn't terribly clear whether it 100% targets player, or can hit troops also. So in that scenario if it can hit troops too you have only 33% chance of dying, also resto is usually a very fast skill and a 100 rage big hit like that I can't imagine is a fast skill that would proc before resto.

Also does the skill even grow with the 50% timer? It does say "90k max" (yea might be like deflect and goes up) but do we have any actual clarification for it?
