1. Enhanced Regeneration astral is a must. Gives a few 50k heals per fight.
2. Enhanced Illusion astral might save you from losing some significant amount of HP.
3. Enshieldment astral since when you block you receive 30% less damage.
4. As much resistance as possible (if you're Gaia owner, get as much Electro resistance as possible, I max my Dark resistance, since Aegis has highest Dark res).
My strat using Aegis is to do a few turns first on foot. Spam LB, Thunderers and Resto if needed. After Resto and regaining full HP use 1 Thund, go sylph + Mire, heal with Aegis Devour Soul, Devil's Gaze, Awe, Delphic, Basic, Basic, Devour Soul, Basic, Basic (then either dead or eventually go back, heal, Guardian/Mire rune).
