Even most top players cannot get first kill rewards, all others are just plain screwed. Gaining star tears is painfully slow. How bout this. Give 1/2 star tears worth of star tear shards to a player for each level they defeat in one attempt. This would give all players the chance to get some rewards and speed the process of refining sylphs. As it is i am seeing players quit because they can not keep up with the big time cashers when it comes to sylphs. Already people are losing to folks with 10k less br because the other person has a refined sylph.
