I do that as well. Once I'm done with one gem event, I prepare for the next.

I synth everything to lvl 4 to save space, i also convert all the the gems i am wanting from event as probably wont have enough gold at time of event to do all.

You should start saving once the previous gem event ends. I've been saving since then and I have a decent amount of gems to synthesize.

Save them up in the vault the most you can, never open the vault until event comes.

Always save gems, whips and sc for events. Never never never NEVER use them, or synth them outside of their respective events. I have a 158k br archer that has L7 stables, and L70 sc, and 3 gems from all L7s (will get this next event) and this is all without cashing at all for whips, sc or gems at all. Just takes time, and hoa.rding like you wanna be on tv.
