I havent quite understood how to open the sockets for the will power gems. Do I need a total of 300 resistance from gems or the sylph you're currently using affects somehow that?

Easiest way: take off sylph, add all resistances you have without sylph on. The sum needs to be 300 or more to open RES reduction slot.IGN: AncientEvil

I used Hades who has the overall best resistances and thanks to it I could open the res reduction sockets.
Once it's open the res reduction bonus doesn't go away if I switch sylphs and lose the 300 resistances right?
