joke answer aside, it works like Guardian Angel astral, but towards block instead of critical chance. no one knows the exact formula, but i just think the penetration stat reduce opponent's block stat like patk vs pdef calculations. Correct me if im wrong, tho.

Depends on where you read what it does.

In game it says "Reduces chance to Parry" aka reduces chance your attack will be blocked.

In the Patch Notes it says:
Penetration: newly added attribute is a resistance attribute against Block. This attribute will reduce Block's damage reduction effects.


One says reduce chance, the other says reduce damage.

I feel it means it reduces the % against Block which might be why it's name penetration.

But it also mentions "block's damage reduction effects" which could be concluded it's talking about the amount that block reduces. Normally is a reduction in damage by about 30% from what I've seen with my 9k Block on my mage testing it in pve fights in Sky Trial judging from keeping track of the damage I take during blocks and when wouldn't get a block.

It not giving as a percentage but as an exact number so i assume it works like this: def - atk= togal amount of damage taken so it should be like this: block 1265 - penetration lvl 1 215 = block 1050, this would affect if you block or not, so it either is a value that is used at the start of the battle or at the time of an atk, would probably be the latter
