    I don't care about the tax but whether the wartune starts again or not, please tell me don't rob me of my time I'm waiting I'm waiting but nothing worthwhile says no one I'm very angry

[Redacted - ask them that question directly]? Should we, players, whom you are trying to keep by your side sue you for this?
    R2 and Game Hollywood are both headquartered in China.

    On the subject of the VAT for EU residents - All companies who sell anything to an EU resident are required by EU law to collect a tax from those residents at the rate specified by the resident's country, which is then forwarded to HM Revenue & Customs when the VAT return is filed, regardless of what country the company is headquartered in. Digital purchases are not exempt from this tax.

    Any questions about a company not charging VAT for EU residents should be forwarded to that specific company, as only they can answer that question. Any other questions about companies collecting VAT can be forwarded to your local tax authority.

    PayPal or one of the other payment processing companies should be able to answer the question about this VAT charge. Maybe a refund is in order?

    More searching on this topic shows some very useful info;
    For B2C (Business to Customer) transactions, the customer’s location determines the amount of VAT to be charge according to local VAT rules on Digital Services. For instance, in the EU, VAT MOSS scheme applies for the supply of telecommunications, broadcasting and electronic services (TBE) to customers (non-taxable persons). Ref: https://www.globalvatcompliance.com/...ital-services/

    "Sales Tax & VAT Rates Mapped Around The World"
    There is no single country with the lowest rate of VAT since there are several with 0% rates including everywhere from Bermuda to Hong Kong to Iraq to the UAE. If you’re curious you can see a full list of rates - Ref: https://merchantmachine.co.uk/sales-tax-vat/

    The R2 Store lists prices only, no VAT, so are all of the payment processing companies PayPal,Xsolla & Paymentwall, charging a VAT and are they collecting it for R2?
    From what I've read VAT is paid to the country in which they do business, but if you live in a non-VAT country, seems to me you shouldn't have to pay a VAT. (I'm not a lawyer).
    Is PayPal charging VAT on R2 purchases? If not, use them. This should be a "Hot-Topic" also, especially for those of you paying a VAT when you didn't have to..

    "What is Value-Added Tax (VAT) and who pays it?
    By INVESTOPEDIA Updated Oct 16, 2020
    Value-added tax (VAT) is a consumption tax, meaning that it is a tax on the purchase of a product or a service. It is a form of taxation that focuses on how much an individual consumes opposed to how much that individual contributes to the economy (income tax).

    Value-added tax is paid by residents of any country in the European Union. Both consumers and businesses are liable to pay VAT when purchasing services or products. When a manufacturer creates a product, it is liable to pay value-added tax on the components purchased in order to create goods. The VAT that the consumer pays when the product comes on the market applies to the cost of the product, minus the cost of the components which have already been taxed." Read more from the site...
