Another idea for mounts are giant Geckos. These are colorfull and beautifull reptiles worth converting them in mounts.
Here some pics, please tell me what you think about (I don't mind being critizied, or asked to do something about it).
I figured that showing pictures would be the best way to desing it in 3d by you (wartune designers), as I lack the skills, but honestly I don't think there is much to change about this examples except the size.

there are only the wings, you said it is optional, I think they go with normal garments and are a nice opction.
You have it translucid and colorfull.

Mounts

You already have some camelids (the lamas and alpacas), so here I show some pics of dromedaries and cames to mount. A good idea would be an arabic custom for the player to match the whole design.
