Magic socketing rod

I accidently used the magic socketing rod on a hero while removing gems. I wanted this on my main character. Is there anyway to change this back? It was a mistake, they are side by side and can easily happen while trying to be quick about removing gems.

swap the weapon / armor then..if different weapon, just go exchange both to suit the char and hero..

My main characters greaves already has upgraded sockets, so now my hero does too. I want the socket for my mains ring.

if that's the case then there's really nothing you can do, r2 will not replace that for you !!!
