Why was no player told about the security breach on r2... R2Games compromised again, over one million accounts exposed

Hacker targeted the U.S., France, German, and Russian forums ..In December of 2015, stretching into July of 2016, more than 22 million R2Games accounts were compromised, exposing IP addresses, easily cracked passwords, email addresses, and usernames.Though you denied this happened ( twice) yet after data testing a small sample of email addresses and usernames against the password reset function on R2Games. Every address checked was confirmed as an existing account. This is a serious security breach which you hid from the player`s .this just goes to show you can not be trusted.Now after reading through forum I am beginning to understand why some have lost accounts and r2 are covering up the fact they got hacked...

To start with, the breach you are talking about occured a year ago, in 2016, it is old news already. Since then R2 has taken steps and also did everything it took to prevent similar situations from happening in the future. As it's been quite a while since it happened, there is no way to go back in time and post an official announcement, and for sure that is no job for a moderator of a forum to do or to take any stand for from forum. Nevertheless, players were innumerable times advised to change their account passwords. If anyone is still concerned now, they should change their account password, thing that, from time to time, to prevent any issue of any kind from appearing, all of us should do. Accounts can't be lost and if anyone faces this and lost access, though, they should address the issue to support via submitting a ticket and they will get it back. Also, any other further discussion of the matter is to be carried with R2 support which can be reached via submitting a ticket.
