Hey ! I started collecting data on the astrals received a few days ago, and from what I obtained I've been able to get some interesting facts. Please note that I'm neither a hardcore player nor a balener so those should be able to get far more precise data than me.
Anyway, here's the raw data
The Green debate : Sell or use ?
As you can see, the data from Satum and Chiron (as well, partly, as the one on Pallas) isn't sufficient to get anywhere, but we still get enough to get a really important stat the gold / astral exp, i.e. how much gold is needed to get 1 astral exp ?
If I neglect the exp earned drom violets and oranges (too rare to mean anything, and could be used), here's what I get :
- If the green are sold, 517 gold/exp.
- If the green are used, 437 gold/exp.
(For those not used to math, the lower, the better)
These first results speak for themselves, it is better to use greens instead of reselling them. But, you may say, I haven't got a good orange yet ! Yes, but Wartune is a long-term game. You have a choice : either get your needed orange a bit faster (maybe) and weep at the gold WASTED (and yes, it's purely a waste) for that slight difference, or you use greens and once you get/buy your oranges they'll be higher in level and you won't have wasted anything. For me, the choice is easy ; is it for you ?
The guild skills vs astrals
The previous data allows us to go even further : which has the better gold efficiency, guild skills or astrals ? From now on, I'll use the 437 gold/exp efficiency for astrals, since I've proven it was the best thing to do.
We'll interest ourselves to another stat, the gold/stat. For astrals, it'll depend on the quality you own, so here's the data.

What does these numbers mean ? It's the gold you need to spend for 1 stat depending on the level of your astral. Eg : I have a lv 4 Violet astral. To get my astrals lv 5, I will have to spend 18.214 gold for each stat I'll gain.
Now what is the gold efficiency of guild skills ? Let's break it into two parts, offensive and defensive, since when you gain 1 intellect/power you gain 4+1 = 5 stats and when you gain 1 defense you gain 4+4 = 8 stats.
I don't know how much costs the guild skill lv 6 since I'm not there yet. If someone knows, please tell me and I'll edit. You read this the same way as before, eg if you have a lv 3 Intellect stat and want the lv 4 you'll need to spend 10k gold for each stat (matck/mdef) gained.
What's the lesson from all that ? Guild skills are far better than astrals in terms of gold efficiency. Let's suppose you have a violet offensive astral, then the best thing to do to maximize our offensive stat is :
Astral lv 2 (304 g/s) ; Guild skill 1 (1000 g/s) ; Guild skill 2 (2500 g/s) ; Guild skill 3 (5000 g/s) ; Astral lv 3 (9107 g/s) ; Guild skill 4 (10000 g/s) ; Guild skill 5 (15000 g/s) ; Astral lv 4 (18214 g/s) and so on (can't go on since I haven't the value for guild skills 6+).
And the better your astrals get, the more you'll need to upgrade your guild skills comparatively.
