Synthesising Legendary Stones

We can synth level 2, 3 & 4 crystaloids upwards, so wouldn't it make sense to also be able to synth level 4 legendary stones upwards?

No. Because then you would just run GoD nightmare and then get level 50 stones and synthesize upwards. Soon, everyone will be running around with level 60 legendary gear.

With a return rate of 10:1, being limited to 3 runs a day and however many skeleton keys you can get and 5 keys a pop for summoner, it would still take aaaaages. Would just mean we don't have the useless lower level leg stones taking up space

You only need to collect 600 keys and do 1 single run.

Collecting keys is the main issue.
