The Monster Handbook is an all new way to boost your character’s attributes. Hover over a monster’s picture on the left side of the handbook to see if there are any requirements you need to fulfill before you are able to absorb its attributes.

Low quality monsters like this Ordinary Vulture have no requirements, but will give helpful hints instead.

Select a monster whose attributes you’d like to Absorb and whom you have already activated, and take a look at the right side of the panel.

Absorb to Increase: The attributes boost you’ll receive from the monster. This Vulture increases HP +32.
Gained Attributes: The attributes that you’ve already received from the monster. We haven’t Absorbed the Vulture yet, so it reads “0”.
Monster Absorb Attempts: The total remaining number of times a monster can be Absorbed. This is a maximum limit that is unique to each monster. When this number reaches zero, the monster is considered maxed out and can no longer be Absorbed or Power Absorbed.
Today’s Attempts: The remaining number of daily Absorb attempts. Every monster has 5 daily Absorb attempts.
Absorb: consumes materials and uses both Monster Absorb Attempts and Today’s Attempts. Visit Ronna the Adventurer in Starglade to enter the Monster Jungle, where you can find the required materials as you defeat the monsters there.
Power Absorb: consumes Crystal and uses only Monster Absorb Attempts.

Quests become available AFTER previous activation requirements have been met. Refer to the Quest Tracking UI to find the first quest, “Killing for the Handbook 1”. Later Quests can be accessed through Ronna the Adventurer in Starglade.

The game is aimed at a western market. A lot of eastern games assume western players will have all this disposable income. The game is a "game" people are not here to invest $1,000s into it just moderate amounts every so often. I really think crystal saga devs need to revise their business model

Agreed, some of the stats should be base strength or intel, not just attk. Makes monster handbook uber weak only using phys attk or mag attk points.

Should just implement something like, str +10 = 10$ , that way you can make fast and easy money ;3

Not going to charge $50 for a feature on CS, would be different if people could sell crystals still. I would just buy recharges from other people like I did back when I first started.

The Bloodlines/Bloodsword system seems a bit more fair, u gain point via ladder, daily hunt & (something else). so everyone can eventually max it in the end.
Also,I think Rune system is also all in-game drop items and u can also eventually max it too.

it doesn't actually spend it- or consume it in the unlocking process. just a status verification so to speak. can make about 1p a day from chamber of fate if lucky. and around 50g + from dungeon loot to NPC a day. just take a little saving, then can spend it all on something which was desiring. people should be getting a few nice items from event too so market will have more cash items around
