Daily Hunt
I'm not sure if day in vidalia was bugged, but if it was it's been fixed.

Not fixed:
Training
Avernal

Probably not fixed
but cannot be confirmed until the event time, basing it on the NPC's level requirements

Fixed an issue where players who increased their level cap could no longer participate in certain events

They did nothing wrong they didn't say Every event they said Certain events.

Erm, what you're saying and what it's saying aren't the same thing. They didn't say "fixed certain events where players who increased their level cap could no longer participate". That would be the correct sentence for the point you're trying to say. They also didn't say "Fixed an issue where players who increased their level cap could no longer participate in certain events, but not all events reported are for players beyond 120".

Instead they said "Fixed an issue where players who increased their level cap could no longer participate in certain events". Well TG, avernal, trove are all "certain events". So it's not wrong to think they'd fix those as well. Now, we haven't gotten to try out avernal and trove yet, but if the NPCs are anything to go by, they haven't been fixed either.

We were lied to.
The level cap was supposed to be raised for the important events, that didn't happen.
We still can't do trainings, and most likely avernal along with treasure trove.

The events were NOT extended for one week, meaning that the special title and ares armor assured at level 130 are now forever lost.
The small servers like the one I'm from are the only ones affected by that, but it's still pretty frustrating.
The compensation pack is alright, but once again R2 has been looking over the issues, and neglecting us.
