The only "recycle" in the game is Smelt, which can be accessed from the Bag.

If I recall correctly, the quests are in the lower left corner. You need to kill zone Bosses to advance that quest. If you can't kill a zone boss because your backpack is full, see if it will let you sell the equipment, which you can do by clicking each item in your backpack and then click Sell.

norather than selling, it's better to smelt them. You can either smelt or smell. So whenever the bag is full, smelt the gears and use the mana hearts you obtained from smelting to enhace gears in forge->enhance

Thank you for your input, but if they don't have the option to smelt, they can't smelt, but they also can't fight more bosses with a full bag to proceed with the quest, hence my suggestion of selling to free up space.

As for normal gameplay, when the backpack is full, a dialogue box appears with gears on it and there are two buttons/options below them, saying Batch Smelt and Smelt.
Smelting will allow to smelt only the first 9 gears shown
Batch smelting will allow to smelt all the gears depending on the rarity.
If they can't access it, enter the bag, there's sell and smelt option. Not seeing the smelt option in bag is a new thing I have heard of. It would be better if there's a screenshot.Maybe devs will work on them. Guesss worth knows it.
and yes if there's no option to smelt, then sell the gears for clearing bag.
For more convinient selling, click the sell option in bag, then choose the rarity of gears to be sold, then click bulk sell.
