What ever happened to Shadowbound?

I remember playing it religiously after another game I used to play a lot that I can't remember the name of was also discontinued.

Shadowbound was officially closed in April 2021. This game had several bugs that could not be fixed, one of which affected the ability to install patches to the game code. Shadowbound was allowed to continue on under 'as is' conditions until the playerbase naturally declined to a point where the game was no longer self-sustaining.
