From time to time a suggestion is made to allow clans, guilds, groups of friends, servers, etc to have their own space on the forum. Everyone can create their own space here by starting a Group.
To start a group, go to the top of the forum page and click Community.
From the dropdown menu, choose Groups.
On this page you can view the groups you belong to, search for an existing Group,
or create your own.
You have options when creating your own Group.
1. Choose Uncategorized. It's the only option available.
2. Enter in a group name identifies who you are. For example, if you are wanting a guild/clan group, you might put your guild/clan name. If you are looking for people who like your favorite television show, you might put the name of that show.
3. In your Group Description, write a few words on what your group is for. For example, if it's your guild group, you might include the game and server your guild is on, such as "Home of Eternal Saga S1's GuildName".
4. You have 3 choices under Group Type.
Public lets anyone join, and lets anyone not a member of the group view the discussions in the group.
Moderated is a little more private, outsiders can't read your discussions without joining. Anyone who knows your group name can ask to join, but the group admin will need to approve the member for joining.
Private is invite only, no one can see or ask to join a private group, members need to be directly invited by the group admin.
5. If you plan to allow players to post images in a group album, leave the Enable Albums box checked. Enable Messages will allow people to send forum messages.
After setting up your group info, you'll be given the option to include a Group Icon. If you include an icon, your group will be shown as a New Group and Random Group on the group overview. If you're seeking privacy, or don't want to be searched, you might choose not to include a group icon.
Once you have your group started, if you decide to make any changes to any of the information about your group, switch group leaders, or delete your group, click on the Admin tool.
Groups work like a subforum. Members can create threads, post to threads, upload images, etc, just like in any thread on the forum. Groups are self-moderated to an extent. As long as no site rules are being broken, a forum moderator has no need to ever visit your group. But, if you need help with your group, you can send a pm to a forum moderator for assistance.
