platform: r2 My Mother meant the world to me. She passed away in 2007 from breast cancer. As I reflect back on the times I spent with my Mom, I remember her truly listening. Not a distant glance as we passed or a faded recognition of my existence, but, truly listening to what I had to say as if it were an important part of her day. She looked deep into my eyes and made it a point to acknowledge me. Since her passing, I don't believe anyone has given such a gift. I can only hope to have this type of connection with my kids one day. She will always hold a very special place in my heart.

In my country mother's day was on 8th March, for me, this day should be celebrated every day. And that is because we should cherish our mothers everyday for the unconditioned love they give us. That is what I do I thank my mom every single time I can (she is gone in another country now )for the fact that she raised me the best she could, in a loving home, so I could become the person I am today.

My mother means the world to me. We lost her last year and her passing is still felt. She brought us into this world and she raised us right. We went to her grave today and planted a lovely rose bush so it would grow thru the years to always remind us of all the love she gave us. And its beauty would reflect her own inner beauty.
