Is there some sort of silver lining that players can hold onto on this game despite the bots plagueing the server, unresolved bugs, unpunished cheaters/abusers, poor support. I enjoy this game but these things are the biggest barriers preventing me from fully enjoying it. I don't feel hard work amounts to anything anymore in-game. Even with the new contents being released, I still feel empty and bored due to lesser and lesser people logging in my server and the constant neglect by R2.

Is there is anything to hope for this game (CSII)?

Kinda hard to enjoy it really when you are getting creamed all the time by VIP0 with their max demons/angels in pvp events so our population in S1 really suffers. No one wants to play with these bots that keep spamming world chat either lol. Like you, I enjoy upping my gears but the enjoyment is overshadowed by the weak enforcement of rules by R2, persistent bugs, and pay-to-win model. Its good to see that S5 is still free from being corrupted. I just hope it stays that way and it is not merged with other infected servers like ours or it will be game over.

Just keep reporting any player you consider is violating the ToS in any terms, make sure you have suffice evidence to even attempt reporting them.
No clue how are the BOTS operating, but I believe R2 should track the IPs and also check on their database(s) for any player(s) that ever traded with a bot and apply the correspondent sanction.
