Is the new server only a beta or its an official server?

Msy I ask why they are opening it as beta server and not as official server is there a reason behind this or is it just a delay in the official opening.

Beta just means the current version is not the final release version. It's a term software developers use to let users know to expect changes to happen. Here, 'beta' and 'official' can be used interchangeably or together. If the game were to ever lose the beta tag, which it won't, then what you see would be what you get, minus the special events.

R2 is resetting S22, but if you have already recharged, simply file a ticket and the amount will be sent to your new toon once the server is relaunched.

I understand the beta concept, my question is though why s22 is released in beta rather than just as an official server online server, I mean what could they really change in the server that would require a beta tagging since its gunna be part of cs2 which is all one game its not like s22 is gunna have totally new systems or anything, I'm just wondering if this is an error or what?

If it had been asked like that in the first place... I just now caught on to why this question has been slamming my inbox today. Right, so S22 hasn't been released yet, and now I get to wait for a response about that.

Yes Memory I'm just concerned becaue Reverie told all these players it was safe to cash s22 and I don't necessarily think it is safe to cash in s22 yet, CS1 had a siliar issue with a server being sent out in beta then after a couple days they wiped it. So I definitely wouldn't be cashing on s22 if I was you guys.

I have a very bad feeling R2 has made yet another grave error that will deeper bury there company.

Official word from R2 is that S22 will be restarted and relaunched as scheduled. Any recharges made will need to be noted in a support ticket so it can be sent to the newly created toon after the scheduled relaunch.
